Dark Kitchen in the Light

A closed kitchen in white was opened to the living space and re-worked in black, cherry and earth tones. With dramatic lighting and a south facing window, this kitchen has light to spare, so the drama of dark materials is welcome. Because the sink had to be located on the wall, cabinets were held high and a vertical river of pebbles backs the simple and symmetrical D-shaped sink. Kraftmaid boxes, Zodiaq engineered stone counters and giant ceramic tiles on the walls and floor make this kitchen bomb proof and inexpensive. KitchenAid, JennAir and GE stainles complete the setup. null
